Support Request: Citrix Issue

Description

Citrix not launching. When I click on launch, it shows that it downloads fine and I can see it in the Download Manager. However, it doesn't open and the open button is greyed out. Can I have it where it auto opens Citrix Workspace and all I have to do is enter credentials?

Hello,

Thank you for your inquiry. Based on your configuration file, you were on the right path. Simply make this adjustment in Configuration>>Start Page and Browser>>Advanced (Start Screen currently selected), choose Downloads in Customize (Chrome Browser), scroll down to File Actions, edit the newest entry for ".exe" and change File Type to "ica" (no quotes and no dots). Click OK twice to save changes and save your configuration file to test.

According to the logs, the *.ica files may be downloaded with other string data after file type and so the file might not be saved in the *.ica format to be recognizable by Windows and SiteKiosk? That would be good to test and confirm.

After this adjustment, as long as the files end with *.ica and are downloaded, the File Actions will trigger.

Best regards,
Andre.

Hi Andre,

Thanks for helping. That did the trick. It works now.

I do have one more issue. How can I bypass the screen where it wants to try installing Citrix and detect it without the users having to do it manually? I have to click 'Already installed' in order to run the Citrix Workspace app.

Hello,

Thank you for the update and great news on the progress. The popup that you see is a feature of the website and can be evident here in the logs:

[SiteKiosk] According to the scheme rules (receiver) the navigation to receiver://[Obfuscated Receiver Link] was canceled.

On a normal Desktop experience, the reciever:// call will be passed to the system and processed by the ICA Client software. With SiteKiosk Classic, this call may not be honored. With SiteKiosk Online, after being allowed in Advanced settings, it can be passed to the system, and the ICA session can be launched. If you continue with SiteKiosk Classic, you will need to manually confirm that the app is installed at the prompt and the app will launch after the *.ica file download. Or consider adjusting some site behavior with the aid of a web developer: https://devblog.provisio.com/post/2019/05/17/Manipulating-the-DOM-within-the-SiteKiosk-Windows-Chrome-Browser.aspx
