FAQ: How to use VNC with SiteKiosk Online Android
In order to be able to use VNC with SiteKiosk Online for Android you have to enable the SiteKiosk VNC service when you start the app. You will be automatically redirected to the accessibility settings of Android where you can activate the service.
Starting with Android 10 changes to the security of Android require a different approach to enable VNC permanently. To enable VNC support please go the the Settings of the Android operating system. Select the Accessibility page and activate the SiteKiosk VNC service there.
An additional step is required since Android 10 which needs the Android Debug Bridge (ADB) to be installed on a PC (
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Android_Debug_Bridge and
https://www.xda-developers.com/install-adb-windows-macos-linux/). Now connect the Android device using a USB cable while the developer options and USB debugging is enabled under the Android settings. Open a Windows command line and use the following line:
adb shell cmd appops set com.sitekiosk.online PROJECT_MEDIA allow
From now on the VNC usage is permanently enabled.
